Alexander Gerrese
My upbringing was quite nontraditional; during the first 18 years of my life, my family moved 8 times — living in Paris, Beijing, Dubai, Paris, Shanghai, St-Germain-En-Laye, Dallas, and Maastricht (in that order). This international experience has shaped me to be a person with diverse interests and a unique perspective on the world.
Currently, I’m a Senior Product Designer working on autonomous cars at Cruise. Previously, I was a KP Fellow at Uber, and I graduated from Duke University in 2019, majoring in Computer Science and earning the Innovation & Entrepreneurship certificate.
I’m an avid traveler, I’m fascinated by the fallibility of memory (an interest which led me to start Summarize), and I love to learn random skills like solving a Rubik's cube, memorizing the Greek alphabet or reciting 100 digits of pi (ask me, I can still do this).
